SEND Teaching Assistant

16.25 Hours per week (mornings) - term time only (possibility of increasing to full-time, dependent on funding)

Salary Grade 15 (Point 3 £18,562 pro-rata)

Required to start as soon as possible

We are seeking a positive, calm and nurturing yet enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a pupil 1:1 at our school. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to the immediate situation, working to the needs of the individual. Somerset Total Communication Signing, Autism Level 1 and/or some experience of delivering speech and language support would be desirable, but training may be available for the right candidate.


The teaching assistant will need to have some experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.  This position is subject to continued SEND funding.
