Royal Family Fun Day 2018

On Saturday 19th May, SOAP held its annual Family Fun Day with a ‘Royal Wedding’ theme. There was a fantastic turnout of people, many of whom came dressed in red, white and blue and joined in the fun. They all took part in a variety of fun activities, including: the coconut shy, face painting, the tombola, penalty shoot-out, a plant stall, the raffle, and a host of other stalls. The event began with an excellent performance from the country dancers who encouraged several of the parents to join in with the last dance. Many children then joined in with running the stalls along with a host of parents, staff and members of the local community.  At 12.00 everyone gathered in the school hall to watch the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the big screen.

We would like to say a big thank you to all of the children, parents and staff who helped to run the stalls and to all of the family and friends who turned up to join in with the fun.  Thank you, in particular, to members of the SOAP committee: Abby Davis and Georgina Stevens for organising yet another very successful event!
